A studio that builds for health and care — and understands it.
We're a small, founder-led web and software studio based in South Wales. We don't try to be everything to everyone. We build websites, web apps and software for care homes, GP surgeries, clinics and dental practices, and we do it properly.
What we do
Candykite builds software and websites for health and care. That ranges from a website that helps a family choose a care home, to the platform that lets a care group see how every home is doing, to the products we build and run ourselves.
Who we work with
Care homes and care groups, dental practices, GP surgeries, private clinics and allied health practices, along with the organisations that support them. Our care home, dental and clinic and GP pages show how we help each.
Why health and care?
Because it is where we have done our best work, and where good software makes a real difference. We have built a bilingual website for a specialist dementia nursing home that helps families through an agonising decision. We have built an executive platform for a national care group that replaced a tangle of spreadsheets with a calm, evidenced view of the whole organisation. See our work.
That mix is unusual. Most web agencies can make you a nice brochure site and nothing more. Most care software is bloated and generic. We sit in the gap: people who can design a warm, trustworthy website and build the serious software underneath it.
Software we build and run ourselves
Alongside client work we make our own products for health and care: ResCash for residents' money in care homes, Thrivio for measuring how well people are led, and Ribbon for planning and posting to social media. Who is behind it
Candykite is founder-led by Neil Reid-Chesworth, so the person you speak to at the start is accountable for the work. We write plainly about what we know in our guides, and our founder's own thoughts on building for care appear there too.
How we work
Plainly, and with our cards on the table. We use plain English, not jargon. We tell you when SEO will take months, when a bespoke build is overkill, and when something cheaper would serve you better. We would rather earn a long relationship than win a one-off invoice, which is why so much of what we do becomes an ongoing partnership.

- Accessible by default. Care audiences skew older. Good accessibility is not a tick-box, it is basic respect and good design.
